Designing Accredited MBA Courses at Quantic

I believe that impactful learning experiences must be deeply customer-centered, reflecting real-world needs and contexts. By focusing on scenario-based design and iterative prototyping, I ensured that each module met customers where they were and guided them to confident, independent use of VidMob’s powerful tools.
The Challenge:
Quantic’s MBA program aimed to deliver a rigorous, fully online learning experience for working professionals. With a growing roster of subjects—including IP Law, Strategic Decision-Making, Business & Professional Writing, International Finance, and DEI—the program required high-quality, interactive courses that were both engaging and accessible. The challenge was to distill complex business topics into concise, interactive, and mobile-friendly modules without compromising academic rigor.
My Role:
As a key member of the instructional design team, I was responsible for defining the scope and sequence of each course. This meant determining which content to include (and crucially, what to exclude), ensuring content pacing and scaffolding to reduce cognitive load, and organizing information into chapters, modules, and micro-lessons that supported a seamless learner experience.
My Approach:
I applied a learner-centered design process, grounded in cognitive science and instructional design best practices.
Analysis: Collaborated with program directors, industry experts, and SMEs to map essential learning objectives, identify gaps in prior knowledge, and align outcomes with program goals.
Design: Developed detailed scope and sequence documents to chart each course’s structure—outlining topics, subtopics, learning objectives, and the progression of concepts to build knowledge logically and prevent overload.
Development: Wrote and refined scripts for interactive modules, incorporating definitions, examples, and multimedia elements. Designed knowledge checks every few screens to keep learners engaged and ensure retention. Contributed to gamified learning experiences and dynamic infographics to support visual learning.
Implementation: Partnered with QA teams and reviewers to refine course flow and interaction design, ensuring each course met high standards for engagement and rigor.
Evaluation: Monitored feedback for the first 60 days of live courses, culminating in team meetings to discuss results and action items.
